You: The Inspired Version

The world will tell you to be quiet, and stop being so silly, and don’t ask such ridiculous questions.

Religion will encourage you to tone it down, and get in line, show up, and march to the beat.

Friends and family will plead with you to be normal, to fit in, stop pushing the limits, and don't make a fuss!

From our earliest days we learn that we need to earn our worth. In order to be acceptable, to be worthy, to fit it, to be loved, we need to act right, do right, be right… according to others.

But what if…

You were already accepted?

What if, from before your conception you were graced with divine favour and intention by a God who created you specifically to be wild and free and mighty and different from anyone who ever was before?

What if He didn’t plan for you to march to the beat of a drum, but instead to dive through the air like an acrobat unfurled in the wind?

What if the Spirit desired to, well, blow you where He wishes (and that wasn’t your mother’s dream for you, or your church’s goal for you, or your culture’s acceptable route to life)?

“The wind blows where it wishes and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it is coming from and where it is going; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” -John 3:8

What would you do if you knew the life you felt you had to live (according to the people around you) was not God’s dream for you? What if you lived inspired instead?  What would you try?
